ecobee transfer ownership

After using my current Ecobee thermostat for quite some period, it was the time to get it replaced with the latest model. Luckily, I got an access to one of my friends who was interested in buying my thermostat. We communicated and made a deal about this. But before simply handling over the thermostat to its new owner, I had to perform a couple of steps to make sure the new owner doesn’t face any future inconvenience.

HOW TO TRANSFER ECOBEE THERMOSTAT TO NEW OWNER:

It is a known fact that whenever you install a thermostat, you set various settings according to your own preferences. This was exactly the case with me, I had my own settings set up which were according to my preferences. I had to clear them up so the new owner can adjust the settings according to his/her own preferences.

Therefore, there are many steps other than just removing the heat/cool set temperature. In the next section of this article I will be discussing those steps in great detail so make sure to give it a read till the end.
