For this you will need to check the switches which enable the blower fan. Make sure that these switches are at Fan OFF mode. You can also separate the thermostat wires from the heating system. For this you will have to first identify the red and white wires. These wires will be connected to T1 and T2 terminals of the controller. Remove them and see if the issue has been resolved or not.

5. SYSTEM COMPATIBILITY:

Nest thermostat turning OFF but still providing heat could be due to system incompatibility. It is possible that your system isn’t compatible with your Nest thermostat. To check this, you will have to use Nest App which will inform you about the systems which are compatible with your thermostat. According to that, you can make the required changes.

6. C-CONNECTOR ADJUSTMENT:

The unusual fix could be that the wire in the C-Connector isn’t properly inserted. To ensure the proper insertion it is better to look at the wiring diagram that came with your old thermostat. If there isn’t any wire in the C-Connector then look for the one which is present in your system’s board. Find it and connect it with your thermostat.

If you want to buy something more affordable and effective than a simple C-wire then it is always a better option to purchase a nest power connector. It is much more powerful and efficient than C-wire. You will have to call the experts in order to get this power connector installed.

8. UPDATING NEST THERMOSTAT:

If your thermostat runs on an older version then it will show abnormal behavior like this problem. It is always a better option to keep your thermostat updated because otherwise half of your time will be spent worrying.
