ECOBEE HUMIDIFIER WIRING:
If you want to connect your Ecobee thermostat with a humidifier without taking any professional help then follow the below mentioned steps.
STEPS TO FOLLOW:
STEP 1 – KEEP THE HVAC SYSTEM OFF
The first step involves the confirmation of your HVAC system being turned OFF. You have to deal with live wires and it is important for safety purpose that you keep the humidifier and thermostat turned off.
STEP 2 – WIRE LOCATION
Now find the location of the wires which were connecting the water valve and fan.
STEP 3 – WIRING PROCEDURE
By keeping in mind the version of your thermostat, wire the following wires accordingly.
In case you have already installed the Ecobee, you don’t need to perform the above mentioned step. Now take the wire which is of brown color and connect it to the acc+ terminal. This will connect the humidifier with your thermostat. Make sure to perform the wiring procedure correctly as it can make your thermostat go all black.
You have successfully connected your humidifier with the thermostat and now it is time to perform further procedure i.e. configuration.
In this step, we try to build such settings which help the Ecobee and humidifier to communicate with each other. However, the process is pretty much simple and easy to follow so make sure you read the steps carefully.
STEPS TO FOLLOW:
STEP 1 – MAIN MENU
Make sure that you have your Ecobee thermostat turned ON so you could navigate towards the main menu screen.
STEP 2 – SETTINGS
After clicking on the main menu, select “Settings” and then navigate towards “Installation Settings”.
STEP 3 – EQUIPMENT SELECTION

STEP 5 – HUMIDITY SET POINTS
Ecobee humidity settings can be altered if you want to change the humidity set points. For this, you will have to visit the main menu. Then select the Ecobee system, and then press on the humidifier.
